ABOUT SERVANT RIDER

Well I, Guy Shipp started doing Prison Ministry about 3 years ago going in with other groups and that is where I met Chaplain Eddie Smith from Bibb Correctional. He had sent me a prayer request and that is where it all started. That was Dec 2007 but before that I had felt like God was leading me to do a prayer ministry, and by that I mean I was to encourage others to get out of their comfort zone, by going and visiting others and asking if they needed prayer. So I prayed about this and asked God where he wanted me to start this. Well through much prayer and just being willing God provided. I saw people out and about that were hurting or just need to know that God loves them, and that others do care and this started as a prayer ministry around November 2007 .

I met some awesome bikers at the Trail of Tears in 2007 and God put us in contact once again and we all started going and praying for people that God led us to. It was just a God thing from the very first. May I say that if you truly believe in God ,then when he opens those doors be willing to walk through them because then and there he will start another "awesome chapter in your life."


I had a dear friend named Don Johnson that was a awesome man of God and loved all people, he believed like Jesus teaches us all to believe that any one can change with Jesus Christ in their hearts. Like the bible says salvation is available to all who ask. Don asked me about 3 years ago if I would pray about going to prison with him and his other biker friends. I told him that I would pray about it , but I did not think that I would go.But I was willing to walk through that door and I was terrified on my first weekend in prison. I praise God for sending my friend Don Johnson to me. Don was in the prison ministry for around 18- 20 years , before he past away this year. So I would have to say that God sent Don to plant a seed and God gave the increase and has blessed me with a heart like Don Johnson's. Allow God to be all he can be in your life, your missing the greatest blessing in life if you don't. The way I see it by going and sharing with others what Jesus has done for me, its there in those times that I see Jesus so real in my life , the way that he "Jesus" wants it to be. And by doing this I am learning just how more awesome it will be when I get to Heaven!
